A Georgia-humidity curl routine that actually holds.

Atlanta-area humidity is the great equalizer. It can swell a beautifully cut 3a into a frizz-cloud by lunch if your routine isn't built for it. Here's the framework I give every new client:

1. Cleanse with intention. Skip the harsh sulfates, but don't be afraid of a low-poo. Buildup is the #1 cause of stringy, uneven curls.

2. Condition while detangling — never after. Use a wide-tooth comb with conditioner still in the hair. This is where pattern is preserved.

3. Apply leave-in to soaking-wet hair. Squeeze, don't rub. The water carries product into the strand.

4. Seal with a humidity-resistant gel. This is the step Georgia clients skip and pay for. A film-forming gel locks the cuticle shut.

5. Diffuse on cool, hands-off. Heat opens the cuticle. Cool air sets the cast.

6. Scrunch out the crunch only when 100% dry. Otherwise you break the cast and frizz floods in.

Do this for two weeks. If your curls still go limp by day two, the problem is the cut shape, not your routine — book a consultation and we'll diagnose it together.
