FAQ

Good to know.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?
Arrive with your hair in its most natural state — clean and dry, styled the way you'd usually wear it. No buns, ponytails, or wet hair. This lets me see your real curl pattern so I can shape the cut accurately.
What curl types do you work with?
All of them — 2a through 4c. Wavy, curly, and coily. If you're not sure what your curl pattern is, that's fine; figuring it out is part of the consult.
Do you offer color services?
Currently the studio is focused on cuts, styling, and curl coaching. I'm happy to recommend curl-friendly colorists in the area.
What's the difference between a Deva Cut and a regular haircut?
A Deva Cut is done dry, curl by curl, so the cut respects how each curl actually falls. Wet cuts on curly hair can lead to uneven shapes once the hair dries and shrinks.
